Original Broadcast: Wednesday, June 3, 2020

Join CCS for the first of a two-part webinar series exploring how long-term societal inequities are amplified and compounded by the current pandemic, and what that means for philanthropy.

The implications of the current global health crisis are not impacting all constituencies equally or even in the same way. Due to systemic discrimination and inequities that existed long before COVID-19, there are groups suffering from its impacts at a far higher rate than others.

To rebuild the fabric of our society, or finally arrive at a just one, nonprofit leaders must move beyond a “one-size-fits-all” fundraising effort to alleviate the unique suffering experienced by women, people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, differently-abled individuals, homeless and/or economically insecure populations, and other historically under-resourced communities.

We encourage you to invite your colleagues, board members, and volunteers to join us for this insightful virtual conversation. Shifting our work to a justice-based mentality will require the active participation of all nonprofit leaders.

This webinar is the first in a two-part series.
  • Part one will introduce practical tools for how to incorporate a lens of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in your fundraising strategies.
  • Part two will feature a panel of thought leaders and philanthropists – serving as a forum to explore best practices and innovative approaches toward addressing the needs of these critically impacted individuals and groups in our communities.
